Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026. By using this website or requesting transportation, you agree to these terms.
Nature of service
Veterans Transit provides scheduled, non-emergency medical transportation. We are not an ambulance service and do not provide medical care, monitoring, or treatment during transport. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
No government affiliation
Veterans Transit is a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency. References to veterans describe the community we serve.
Ride requests and confirmation
Submitting a ride request form does not confirm, reserve, or guarantee transportation. A trip is scheduled only after Veterans Transit contacts you with a confirmation. We may decline a request based on availability, service area, vehicle or equipment requirements, safety concerns, or payment status.
Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate passenger, mobility, address, and payment information. Incorrect or incomplete information may cause delays, cancellations, or additional charges.
Cancellations and no-shows
Please cancel at least two hours before the scheduled pickup. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a fee for private-pay trips. Drivers generally wait up to 15 minutes at pickup before reporting a no-show.
Payment and authorization
Charges may include base fare, mileage, wait time, additional equipment, and after-hours service. Private-pay quotes are provided before confirmation. Where a payer or program authorizes the trip, you remain responsible for amounts the payer denies or does not cover.
Passenger conduct and safety
Passengers and escorts must follow seatbelt and securement requirements and driver safety instructions. We may end or refuse a trip in cases of threatening behavior, intoxication that presents a safety risk, or conditions requiring emergency medical care.
Delays and limitation of liability
Traffic, weather, road closures, and other conditions may affect pickup and arrival times. We are not liable for missed appointments or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from delays, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim relating to a trip is limited to the amount paid for that trip.
